Reliable doctor. In the short amount of time allotted for an appointment, the doctor does everything in his power to explain the patient's condition and listen to the symptoms. Gives the impression that he will not leave a struggling patient to suffer alone, that he will look together for the cause of the symptoms.

I came to see this doctor with little hope of any help with my back problem , due to past experience I was very sceptical. He put my mind at rest and explained in great detail what my options were and explained my scans in depth. Highly recommend this doctor.

I had given Mr Haleem a glowing review immediately following my procedure however on reflection I should have waited and reviewed once I had my follow up apointment. Sadly 4 months after my operation I have not had a follow up review and when i really needed advice and help, I received nothing. I contacted the ROH and the secretary to explain the pain and discomfort I was in and that I needed advice but I did not get a call back, review or any help. I ended up speaking with my GP who is not a Spinal Surgeon and just increasing my pain medication. The pain was in an odd place, where I had not previously had any pain. When I have called to get my 6 week follow up appointment, I was offered the 5th February, then the 19th February - which was cancelled on the day and now my 6 week follow up appointment is in MAY! This is 7 months after my operation. So the surgery fine but the aftercare - abysmal and really poor. If you want to ensure you have great aftercare, I would consider going elsewhere.

I was referred to Mr Haleem as I had a cyst on my facet joint creating lots of nerve pain on my left side. Mr Haleem was brilliant at my first consultation, he listened to my concerns and discussed the various options available very clearly with me. I had the cyst removed via micro decompression in my lower back and am definitely on the road to recovery. Mr Haleem was there when I was coming around after the surgery and took every step to ensure I was aware of what happened, to check on how I was doing. Absolute fantastic consultant and if I ever had to have another spinal surgery I would definitely want Mr Haleem to do it - thank you.
